When Visitor Chat wanted to attract new talent and show prospective employees what it was really like to work for the company, they approached Pulse Studio to create a fast-paced recruitment video built around their existing team.
Rather than producing a traditional corporate recruitment film, the aim was to capture the energy, culture and personality of the workplace while naturally communicating the benefits of joining the business.
The finished film combined interviews with employees, footage of the newly refurbished offices, day-to-day working and social interaction with motion graphics, music and sound design.
By putting real employees at the centre of the film, prospective applicants could hear directly from the people already working at Visitor Chat about the culture, opportunities and working environment.

The Brief: Attracting the Right People
Visitor Chat wanted a recruitment film that could communicate much more than a list of vacancies or employee benefits.
The business had a distinctive working environment, ambitious growth plans and a strong emphasis on its people, and the video needed to give prospective employees a genuine sense of that culture.
Key messages included:
- Company ambition and workplace culture
- Career development and progression
- Performance bonuses and incentives
- Flexible working and work-life balance
- Newly refurbished offices
- The company’s lakeside location
- Social activities and employee benefits
- The people behind the business
Rather than communicating each point individually, we developed an interview-led concept where these messages could emerge naturally through the experiences of existing employees.
The result needed to be fast, energetic and engaging, reflecting the type of workplace Visitor Chat wanted potential recruits to discover.
Turning Employees Into Recruiters
The strongest advocates for a workplace are often the people already working there.
Instead of relying on a scripted presenter or management team to tell applicants why they should join Visitor Chat, we interviewed employees from across the business.
We explored why they originally joined, what their typical working day looked like, the support they’d received, opportunities for career development and what they genuinely enjoyed about working there.
We also asked about the things that are harder to communicate through a job description — the personalities, atmosphere, flexibility and social side of the business.
This gave us a bank of authentic responses from which we could build the final story.
It’s an approach we regularly use in our recruitment video production work: allow real employees to communicate the employer proposition rather than simply asking candidates to take the company’s word for it.
Capturing the Company Culture
A recruitment video needs to show as much as it tells.
Alongside the employee interviews, we spent the filming day capturing real working environments and interactions across the Visitor Chat offices.
This included day-to-day working, team meetings, staff collaborating, office branding and more relaxed moments between employees.
We also captured the newly refurbished working environment and surrounding lakeside location, helping prospective candidates understand where they would actually be working rather than only hearing about it.
By combining these elements with the interviews, the finished video could move quickly between what employees were saying and visual evidence of the culture they were describing.
60 Seconds to Make an Impression
Recruitment content often needs to reach candidates while they’re scrolling job listings, social media or careers pages, so the film was deliberately designed to communicate quickly.
Rather than trying to explain every aspect of working for Visitor Chat, the final edit concentrated the strongest interview moments into approximately 2 minutes.
Multiple employee voices created pace and variety, while short interview clips were intercut with energetic footage of the workplace and team.
On-brand motion graphics, music and sound design helped bring everything together into a film that felt much closer to the personality of the company than a traditional corporate recruitment video.

Salary, bonuses and benefits are important, but they’re only one part of someone’s decision to join a company.
Visitor Chat also wanted potential recruits to understand the opportunities available once they became part of the business.
Interview questions therefore explored career progression, support for new starters, performance incentives, flexibility and the variety of the work, alongside the company’s social culture.
This meant the film could communicate both sides of the employer proposition: what candidates could expect from the workplace today and where joining the company could potentially take them in the future.
By having employees discuss these experiences themselves, those messages could be communicated without turning the film into a list of recruitment claims.
Making the Workplace Feel Real
One of our main objectives was to avoid making the office feel staged purely for the filming day.
We therefore captured employees working, meeting and interacting naturally, alongside more deliberately planned sequences involving groups of staff.
Even the interviews were designed with a slightly behind-the-scenes feel, using elements such as employees being mic’d up and preparing for their interview to make the production feel less formal.
For businesses trying to attract people in a competitive recruitment market, this authenticity matters.
Candidates aren’t simply assessing a job description. They’re trying to imagine the people they’ll work alongside, the environment they’ll spend their time in and whether they’ll feel comfortable becoming part of that organisation.
Video provides an opportunity to answer some of those questions before a candidate ever submits an application.
The Finished Visitor Chat Recruitment Film
Outcomes
The finished film gave Visitor Chat a concise, energetic introduction to the company as an employer, built around the experiences of its existing employees.
In just 2 minutes, the video could communicate the people, workplace, career opportunities, flexibility, benefits and social culture behind the business while retaining the pace needed for online recruitment.
Rather than simply telling prospective applicants that Visitor Chat was a great place to work, the film allowed candidates to see the environment and hear directly from the people already experiencing it.
Results
The finished recruitment video provided Visitor Chat with an evergreen piece of employer-brand content that could support its wider recruitment activity and give prospective employees a much more immediate introduction to the business than a traditional job description.
The project also demonstrates how multiple employee interviews can be combined within a relatively short film, providing different perspectives without requiring a lengthy piece of content.
Planning a Recruitment Video?
If you’re competing for talented people, showing candidates what it’s genuinely like to work inside your organisation can be considerably more powerful than simply telling them about your benefits and company culture.
By combining employee interviews with real footage of the workplace, a recruitment film can introduce your people, demonstrate your culture and help potential applicants picture themselves as part of the business.
At Pulse Studio, we produce recruitment video production for organisations looking to attract the right candidates and communicate what makes them different as an employer.
